MuzSelectExtnesion Validation and Implementation.

These are two issue I was struggling with even though I find a work around I would like to know if there is another way which doesn't involve me writing extra code.

1: How do you implement validation when using mudselectextension?

2: I notice when using mudselectextension I was not able to use the Id in the ICollection and display the name for each Id like you would with the normal mudselect. Is there away this can be done?
