We need flags in the output that tell us whether the flag

Related to how much info we have about y in general

  • Travels completely straight in y so that there's a ~30cm uncertainty
  • Travels at an angle, but only through one y change, so that there's a lot of uncertainty in dy/dz angle
  • Travels at an angle so that there's a lot of y change

Related to the endpoint

  • Travels close to the edge of the TMS so that it may have left. For y, that would mean the uncertainty is large enough that it's outside TMS
  • Has what looks like a magnetic field curve hook. Ie, if it's pretty straight, then it may be a high E rock muon that left through the edge of the detector

Liam made that point that for most tracks that curve will give y information. The Kalman filter updates the y uncertainty as it travels. We should check that it makes sense
