Latexmk compiles only once

I remember that when I used to compile documents with latexmk, latexmk would automatically recompile to enable updating references, but now I find that when I update the title of a section, compiling with latexmk does not update the title name in the directory in time. For example, if I rename a section to “a” and click compile, the title of the section in the main body will be changed to “a”, but the title in the table of contents will still be the original title. Now, if I change it to “b” and compile it, the title in the body of the section will change to “b”, but the title in the table of contents will change to “a”.

Since I've only updated clion & Texify, I'd like to investigate if this was introduced by upgrading the clion & Texify.
My configuration is:
windows 11 23H2
clion 2024.3.2
Texify 0.10.0

That is indeed very odd, can you try with a new run configuration in a new project? Do you have any latexmkrc files?

The command looks okay, so might not be an issue with TeXiFy. Could you upload the log from the Console tool window? It should show multiple latexmk runs, and will also print the reason.
Be sure to try in a clean new project though, any unexpected auxiliary files could maybe confuse latexmk

If I remove the out folder, everything works well for the first build, but from the second build the table of contents update lags!

Thanks, the problem is that you have a compile error, which you should be able to see in the error messages tab in the console tool window, for example:

) [1] (./chapter/chapter1.tex
chapter 1.
./chapter/chapter1.tex:18: Missing $ inserted.

You can see at the bottom that the exit code is not 0.
The problem is not with TeXiFy, but if you need help solving the compile error, you can try asking at tex.stackexchange.com
