Problem description

I love how epic games was directly integrated, like you can directly install them from heroic with basically no hassle, and I know that the same works for GOG and prime gaming (I dont use GOG much). I would love to have the same integration with steam games cause downloading the steam client with heroic doesn't offer the same results sadly.

Every added platform needs an opensource backend like legendary for epic, nile for amazon games or gogdl for gog.com.
Since there is no such tool yet and there is also a native linux version for Steam, this is a huge project and not very likely to happen.
It is more likely that someone will do a lite-version as can be seen in NonSteam Launchers or Lutris, where the heavy lifting is done by the original client and all that your gui does is display things and use steam in the background.

If someone makes an open source alternative to steam and it works fine we might be able to add steam integration. The Heroic team we don't have the bandwidth to implement something like that and the focus is on other stores that have really bad user experience.

I'll close this cause it's a feature that was requested multiple times and it's not something planned, it depends on the community first creating a Steam replacement that we can use, only then it would make sense to integrate heroic with that tool.
