Copy overlapped / distinct bed regions from track paired overlap. Optionally use them as a new track.

E.g. I overlap 2 tracks and interested in difference / shared regions, e.g. check them in JBR. I could get difference manually using bedtools and then load it into JBR, but it will be great to simplify such usecase.

Can you elaborate on this please? With some example? What should be exactly simplified?

  1. Select tracks A,B,C
  2. Open "tracks overlap dialog".
  3. Overlap dialog shows 53 of 300 regions from B overlaps some regions in C.

What should be exactly simplified?
There is no convenient way in JBR, to get these 53 or (300-53) regions.

I could get the difference manually using bedtools and then load it into JBR, but it will be great to simplify such usecase.

So multiple steps are required: 1) copy B, C track paths, 2) open terminal 3) launch bedtools intersect 4) convert the result into BED file 5) load BED file into JBR or copy it content for multiple locations track view.

So it could be convenient for these 53 or (300-53) regions:

  • open then in multiple locations track view
  • open as a new track in browser
