MacOS: Ctrl+Space is default language switch shortcut. Completion in browser search field doesn't work out of the box.

Maybe use TAB just like in Jupiter notebook?

TAB sounds good, like in a terminal, IPython, Jupyter. I have only one concern related to TAB usage in GUI applications, normally TAB and SHIFT+TAB are used for focus traversing across UI components but seems it isn't critical.
