Several of us between LLNL (i.e., @dyokelson and @pearce8) and UTK (i.e., @ilumsden and @Yejashi) have been working on containerizing Benchpark. This would allow us to do things like provide containers to help new users get used to Benchpark, build tutorials for Benchpark at conferences, etc.
This discussion is meant to be a place to discuss the containerization in general, potential new features for the containerization, and issues with running benchmarks in the container.

Currently, the containerization is driven by a new
benchpark containerize
command, which acts like and builds off ofspack containerize
. The code is currently housed in the GCLab fork of Benchpark: https://github.com/TauferLab/benchpark/tree/containerized-benchparkThis discussion is meant to be a place to discuss the containerization in general, potential new features for the containerization, and issues with running benchmarks in the container.
