If we could decompose devices by configuration flag and expose their entities directly to Matter Controllers that would help maybe for some controllers like Alexa to avoid the pain of configuring things there.

There beside the complexity in the code we have another big issue:
memory use in the shelly board.
We don't have that much memory at the moment.

I am not sure, if I understand you correctly. Maybe we are talking about different things. Do not understand, what that has to do with the memory of the devices?!

Hi,
each device we expose has a price in terms of memory and performance.
But I will think about it.
Did you have time to try edge?

Hi, still do not understand that memory and performance limitations unless you want to be able to have the bridge on a small device?! Is that the reason?

Unfortunately could test edge yet with my production system since I moved from container based home assistant to a supervised installation (and plan to move to OS based home assistant). Did not found a description to enable edge there?! Guess you need to provide a config option in the AddOn which I did not found?! The test environment is very limited, so you would not get much out of it currently to find issues.
