I have a JACUZZI-JUNIPER or Acer Chromebook Spin 311 chromebook, since the file is IMG I cannot use the chromebook recovery utility to flash the USB, if I use balenaetcher the chromebook freezes when I press CTRL+U, Rufus just makes a black screen, dd also makes a black screen. Please help.
Also building the image gives me an error of "2 out of 12 hunks failed" so that's probably not an option (I tried multiple distros and they gave the same error)

Have you extracted the .gz file. If so, then rename the .img extension to .bin, install chromebook recovery utility, then click the settings icon on the top right, and select your .bin file. Continue from there.

Note: Chromebook recovery utility is only available for ChromeOS, macOS, and Windows
