local database for testing

Hi @akeshavan, did you check out the brainspell_2016-11-21.dump file in the database_dumps folder? You should be able to restore that dump locally (using something like pgAdmin) and set your DATABASE_URL environment variable to refer to your local database/credentials. (The DATABASE_URL variable is parsed in models.py.)

I haven't yet -- I'm not too familiar with SQL. But it sounds like there are a number of config variables (githubkeys, database URL) that it might be worth pulling those out into another file entirely
