MQTT Not Connecting

I seem to be stuck at the first step here - when I try to enable MQTT in the wallpanel app on my clock (or any device that I have tried it on, including my pixel 7a running android 14 so it isn't an android issue) it throws an error 'MQTT client failed to initialize, please check settings.' How can I get around this?

Did you set up a dedicated user/password e.g. clock-user & clock-pass?
