If the "backup folder" is inside OneDrive folder, RSG will not be able to delete empty "save backup" folders automatically according to the set limit "backups to keep". The files are deleted, but empty folders remain.
However, right-clicking on the "save backup" and deleting it from the context menu in RSG will work as expected.
Edit: It appears that the above is not true.
If you decide to change the "backup folder" from OneDrive to another location while also letting RSG move the "save backups" automatically, it will move the latest "save backup" files but then crash when deleting the folder with the exception 0xe0434352 in KERNELBASE.dll. This leaves an empty folder behind in the original location. No data gets lost.
I can only presume the conflict arises with the inherited permissions on the OneDrive folder, but I am not knowledgeable enough to claim that.
Edit: Converting inherited permission to explicit ones, and deleting this entry, then applying to all subfolders did not affect the situation.
Running RSG with elevated permissions does not affect the situation.
Note: I personally don't consider this an issue with RSG, but maybe something can be done to resolve it, nonetheless.
