I just updated to 8.0.7 from 7.13. In the Web UI, all previous downloads are gone, and the list is empty.

Expected Behaviour

The download list should consist of all downloads started/running in the previous version.

Actual Behaviour

The download list is empty.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Populate the download list in Tribler 7.x
  2. Update to 8.0.7
  3. Start Tribler

OS/Environment

OS is Artix Linux, a systemd-free Arch variant, using the tribler-bin AUR package.

Additional Information

The problem has been reported in the forum, with no solution so far.

I have tried the copy solution from this issue from Tribler Experimental, copying the dlcheckpoints and sqlite directories, but it had not effect.

The "Tribler Experimental" porting method is slightly outdated. Instead of moving from ~/.Tribler/7.13/dlcheckpoints to ~/.TriblerExperimental/dlcheckpoints, you should move your .conf files from ~/.Tribler/7.13/dlcheckpoints to ~/.Tribler/dlcheckpoints. That should cause your downloads to show up. The 7.13 database files in the sqlite directory are not compatible with either 7.14 or 8.0.7.

If you want a fully automatic upgrade - including the database files - you can first upgrade from 7.13 to 7.14 and then from 7.14 to any 8.0.7.
