Now that I recall, this one here is the most aggravating thing about Stremio. Not only you cannot properly update add-ons (you have to install the newest version thenuninstall the old one) but if you want to disable something for just a second, you have to uninstall the addon entirely (losing all the customizations) and then installing it once again.
Not sure if it can be done, since main Stremio devs should have added this functionality years ago... but if it can, it's a major selling point.
Something acceptable would be to have to restart Stremio every time you disable or enable an addon. That's a good compromise. As long as we don't have to fully uninstall it's fine.
