macOS runner images use a very old outdated Bash 3.x as default. When installing latest Bash via homebrew (
brew install bash
), I get a warning that Bash 5.2... is already installed via homebrew. Afterwards Bash 5.x is available to my scripts. How to configure the default shell / default Bash to be 5.x from homebrew?
Why is Bash 5.x not the default, when someone spend the time to pre-install it in the runner image?
