There is now an official astral-sh/setup-uv action which installs the uv binary from GitHub. From documentation, it seems like then you would use uv to install Python.
It will be good to check whether doing this brings advantages, e.g., better control over uv versions, better caching of the uv binary. Not sure if maybe using uv to install Python would be slower than using the Python available on the GitHub Actions runner images.
