go-fuzz-build: unable to build confluent-kafka-go

When project has github.com/confluentinc/confluent-kafka-go/kafka as dependency, go-fuzz-build fails with the following error:

$ go-fuzz-build 
failed to execute go build: exit status 2
# github.com/confluentinc/confluent-kafka-go/kafka
gcc: error: /tmp/go-fuzz-build699399344/gopath/src/github.com/confluentinc/confluent-kafka-go/kafka/librdkafka_vendor/librdkafka_glibc_linux.a: No such file or directory

Here's the minimal reproducible example:
