"hc1 mode type" not writable

mainly my Buderus GB192i would be configured by HA via MQTT and mode type setting works fine in there.

By the need from today I discovered these:

Therefore I can not set mode type EMS-ESP via web gui directly.

Any hints here?

You can change mode. Modetype shows what type is set by auto mode, It's just a status message from the thermostat.

Oh, sorry... what I meant was "writeable":false

as Michael mentioned, "mode type" (entity name modetype) is read-only and only shows what is displayed on the thermostat. The "operating mode" (entity name mode) is used to change the mode, and is writeable.
