I think I just ran into the issue (also messed up on my part though) and wound up sending a print to the wrong printer because I didn't think I would need to select the connection for each printer every time that I print..... it was my understanding that's what each printer in Cura represented.
The print seems to be going OK, but I don't understand the kludge of having to reconnect the virtual cables every time I switch printers in the drop down list. Is there some limitation within Cura that you can no longer assign a connection to a printer? I don't think I have had this issue in the past, but I did skip a bunch of versions of Cura when I updated a couple weeks ago.
I'm using Cura 5.6.0 and v3.7.3 of your plugin.
