I suggest adding a sidebar to list the 20 most recently modified nodes, allowing quick access to the most recently written documents. Thank you.

This is essentially the "Last Visited Nodes on the Node Name Header" that's above the edit pane. ALT+LEFT/RIGHT moves you back and forward through the list, sort of, but you can directly click on one of them and go straight to that node. The setting for the number is on "Preferences"->"Tree Explorer", last item.

If you don't see the list its probably turned off. Turn it on with "View"->"Show/Hide Node Name Header"
