Unfortunately with the removal of the Hobby plan, PlanetScale no longer fits the philosophy of next-forge.

Thinking of swapping to Neon unless there's a preferred alternative.

May also consider Supabase as a Clerk, PlanetScale, Vercel Blob and Liveblocks replacement + unlocks Prisma Pulse (Postgres)

Exploring supabase, keeping track of missing basic features:

  • Ability to sign up a user with a OTP
  • Ability to check if a user exists by their email
  • Ability to generate an OTP for user signup
  • Ability to use a custom email for signup i.e. react.email (partially, but missing the two things above)
