Summary

The Python Software Foundation's Executive Director Deb Bryant has accepted the role of US Policy Director for the Open Source Initiative, having previously served a decade in state government and eight years on the board of the OSI. This new role complements the OSI's existing policy efforts in Europe and exists to educate policymakers and advocate for open source in the context of economic regulations and legislation.
