I think we can release v0.18 after fixing:

After releasing v0.18, I think we can change the default VM driver to vz, and release v1.0.

The documentation changes suggested are probably just one-liners, to clear things up.

  • Linux binaries need Ubuntu 22.04, or building from source

  • Building from source requires go (and git and make and cc)

But we might want to do something about the qemu situation, before 1.0 at least.

documentation

We can work on that after merging the website PR:

I assume it’s not a blocker for v0.18

Which website that goes in 0.18 is probably not important (only the generated command reference)

Important.
For v0.18, we have merged user-v2 enhancements and WSL2 driver

The "plain" mode is also a huge change

So there will be one website hosted, for each ?

"vX.Y.Z" sites will appear in the "Releases" menu of https://lima-vm.io/docs/
(If docsy is set up correctly)

I think we need to add a version before the release in the toml file. Hopefully netlify will deploy docs for the tagged version automatically

How to set up DNS for this?

Netlify supports auto deployment of subdomain based on branches

Need to see a way for tags support

Thanks, let's try branch subdomains after releasing v0.18.0.
