I was just reading Better Google Web Fonts... I've got a project trying to tackle the same problem but from a different tack. I figure that the fonts most worth paying attention to are the ones that are actually used. So I built a little gallery of sites featuring nice typography using a Chrome extension to grab a load of data on the fonts as they are used.
