Adding ipv6 support to GoCast will be a much appreciated feature as more environments migrate to dual stack and in some cases v6 only stacks.
Changes needed:

  • add user interface to accept/parse ipv6 VIPs over http / config/ consul
  • implement GoBGP's ipv6 API to support v6 AFI/SAFI when peering over BGP

Comments are welcome.

Plan is to work on it this half.

It was suggested to me to check out GoCast, but my use case requires support for IPv6, and on top of that IPv4 with IPv6 next hop (RFC8950).

Any progress with IPv6 support by chance?
