shims.d.ts and enums.d.ts don't generated (pxt buildshims ?)

I would like build the following micro:bit extension: https://github.com/emakefun/pxt-irRemote (commit: 449e6642)
I used the following descriptions:

• https://github.com/kshannon-ucsd/pxt-pixy2?tab=readme-ov-file#developer-setup
• https://makecode.com/simshim

Used build environment: docker pull nevergone/microbit-makecode-editor:7.0.57-tools

The error is shown here:

You cannot access the content of the C++ code, even though it is also found in the pxt.json file. Does not generate shims.d.ts and enums.d.ts files and pxt buildshims command does nothing.

What am I doing wrong? The extension can be added to the makecode, so it can definitely be built somehow.
