Right now, post deploy smoke testing is done following hand written notes. Automate it.

Commit smoke test script to repo
a06f0cc 
Script had been attached to a confluence page. It also was oriented
towards someone who wanted enough info to debug. Made more smoke test
friendly by:
- defaulting to minimal output (set VERBOSE to get orignal output)
- exits on any error
- comments reformatted for ease of (block mode) copy/paste to invoke
