Hi Matti, we found your likely very useful plugin for signal K and installed it on openplotter.
We have not been able to use it successfully and If we kindly could ask your help
We have 2 different RS485 waterlevel sensors and a RS485 USB converter. We would like to read out the data via USB.
The plugin is enabled and shows connection and plugin status in Dashboard. Yet we only receive the error message "error:req timed out, still trying". With our layperson skills we have not figured out how to properly configure the plugin. Is there a manual?
In the plugin config we address /dev/ttyUSB0. We believe thats where the converter is connected. baud rate 9600.
What we dont know how to configure is the Server ID. Is there a way to find out what the server ID is? Can we choose it freely, does it has to match s.th.?
In our testing environment we use a RS485 USB converter and DS1603DA-RS485 and another water level sensor, using modbusRTU.
thanks in advance
Volks
