Can this be used for .ASE import also for DOOMIII models?
I tested ofcourse but only get errors, so i presume its not al same the .ASE format?

I built this specifically for .ase files created from Jedi Outcast/Academy maps using q3map2's -convert -format ase mode, it is not intended for or tested with any other .ase files. Based on your experience, it seems like it doesn't work, though it would help if you could share the precise errors you get.
Maybe you can find a different .ase importer that supports Doom 3?

ah, understood, well tbh, I have literally today already spent 5 hours how to import into blender/3ds max, it is crazy,
some scripts I could find was only for 3dMax 2019 only and some scripts for blender 2.X, that I have tested on blender 3.6 and 4.1, so I thought this was it, bummer!
i get just a 'simple' error wich is called:

Invalid File: Block not properly closed!
