When there is a large/expanded ToC in the sidebar, the bottom of it may not be visible. The sidebar does not scroll to allow the user to view the bottom of the ToC. The only option for the user is to click another page in the sidebar to make the ToC smaller.

The other workaround, if you can call it that, is to scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see the rest of the sidebar. There might be some CSS work that can be done so that it starts scrolling right away rather than at the end of the page, but even getting the sidebar to work like this took a bit of fiddling.
Result of internal discussion: Our plan is that we'll make it so that hovering over the sidebar and scrolling with your mousewheel scrolls the sidebar (but not add an explicit scrollbar).
