Android Studio Bug

When opening in Android Studio 3.0.1 (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS) multiple times then the right side options part is not visible many times.
But after closing and opening for three to four times then it works.
Also sometimes after pasting the json string then it takes time to load the options.

Did you face the same issues on old versions of android studio?
Currently I don't have access to an ubuntu system.
I'm trying to figure out is this is an issue related to java swing components not showing up on ubuntu or an IDE thing

I tried reproducing this issue on a ubuntu 16.04 installed in a virtual box, running on a mac, but it is not reproducible.
I have android studio 3.1 & oracle jdk
