I wanted to share this in case it helps someone else. I discovered that my network was blocking the connection for reasons I couldn't determine. To resolve the issue, I connected through my phone, and the installation was successful.

Thank you , was using my home wifi , it wasn’t working then I tried my iPhone’s wifi same thing but it worked when I use an android phone to connect my laptop

I had the same issue. Connecting through my phone wasn't enough. I had to run a VPN on my phone then connected my laptop to my phone's hotspot

I tried a million different things, and this was the one that worked for me! I ran the VPN on my phone and used a hotspot to provide a connection for my laptop. Note that using the same VPN on my laptop side, using my phone's hotspot didn't work.

Sue to broadband issues I am stuck with a tethered Samsung Galaxy S23, same issue here. I get the errors:

error: RPC failed; curl 92 HTTP/2 stream 5 was not closed cleanly: CANCEL (err 8)

It is always the same subsequent message `~3 to ~5k of data still expected`.

This is because of your slow internet connection.
I connected to a vpn and it got installed.
You should also try a vpn.

For windows or Mac, disconnect from network and reconnect back, open up your VPN application and connect to it. run the git clone <url> <path> command again and it should work fine.
You can increase bufferSize: git config --global http.postBuffer 157286400

Its not the speed of the internet connection, there's something else going on here. I have fiber and 1GB up/down and still was having this bizarre error, but only on this one command. I just connected to my phone hotspot temporarily and Homebrew installed fine.

My own issue was that i was using zsh terminal instead of bash, it worked when i did that
