This would be in a similar vein to the Privacy Friendly Acceptable Ads list except for open source.

Based on discussion from twitter.

If a third party has the EFF DNT policy in place, then Privacy Badger will automatically pass its ads. (Privacy Badger does not block 1st-party ads.)

Just to give a small update here, Read the Docs rolled out DNT compliance this week. I haven't yet had any opportunity to give them a run through with Privacy Badger though.

I am unable to find the privacy friendly acceptable ads list of the original post, but wouldn't this be a subset of https://www.eff.org/files/effdntlist.txt?

If you're talking about the one from Eyeo (the AdblockPlus folks), they appear to have removed the details from their website. The list itself is still intact and still an option in the extension (source list text). The "learn more" in the screenshot below goes to the same link as my original post above which has no info anymore.

Mostly it is. EthicalAds itself (the project I work on and a project of Read the Docs) is on the AdblockPlus privacy friendly list. We aren't on the EFF list probably because we don't have a DNT policy on our main domain but on our ad server's subdomain. I can correct that.

We can probably close this issue.
