How to merge this font into another font?

I would like to patch another font with this one to support the same emojis in applications across different platforms.

Unfortunately, It seems that both fonttools (which is also being used by your build process?) and fontForge cannot handle some parts of this font (tables related to color variations?)

It would be of great help if you could give me some hints on how to accomplish this. In return I could create PR's that document the process.
