Cannot copy and paste into spreadsheet programs

Expected Behavior

Copy and paste should work like it does in a regular html table.
These can be pasted into a spreadsheet program and the table structure is maintained.

Current Behavior

Everything gets shoved into a single column, one row per table cell.

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

Copy and paste from the table into excel, numbers, sheets.

Context

Usability issue - would be nice if copy and paste worked.

We'd accept a PR for this as long as it wouldn't interfere with other event handlers.
