Hello,
I would like to see Sonic Pi follow the system theme so you don't have to change it manually.
The proposed solution is to add in Preferences -> Editor -> Theme an option 'Use system theme' along with an option to specify which Light and Dark themes to use. When selected, change the theme whenever the system theme changes.
This is useful in combination with software like Auto Dark Mode on Windows, or native switching in Mac or Gnome.

This article suggests it can be achieved using Qt only although more thorough research and testing are required, especially in Linux: https://www.qt.io/blog/dark-mode-on-windows-11-with-qt-6.5
