Seems that running Octoprint on an Android is causing the issue. Switched to a Raspberry Pi and the problem went away. |

Buddy and I have Ender 3 V2s. We're trying to print airplane wings. It's single layer perimeter walls with some internal (spar) structures.
We slice and all looks fine in the slice. Send to printer (use Octoprint and have tried direct to the SD card). The print works perfect until it gets to 25mm and then we get "blobs" forming. Watching the printer the print head actually stops moving for a second or two, then restarts. Before the 25mm height there are no stops.
We've tried changing the "maximum G1 per second" and "minimum extrusion length" in firmware but no change in the print. Also tried changing "slice resolution" again with no impact.
Anyone have any thoughts on what might be happening?
Thanks in advance, Rick
Edit: Doing the print direct from the SD card (not Octoprint) resulted in the print head stopping at every layer change, starting from the first layer (did not wait for 25mm like Ocotprint).
