Describe the solution you'd like Like terminal or iTerm2, it would sure be wonderful to be able to issue a web search from any highlighted selection.
Describe alternatives you've considered On mac, perhaps something like shift+command+f (plus a menu choice)?

Sure! Although ugly IMHO, here's how the built-in terminal app on Mac does it:
