Description

This page states:

... This message content is unlike the message id which is typical in z/OS. ...

Perhaps there is a typo here, but what exactly is being conveyed to the user by this statement. In what way is the message content unlike a message ID and why is that relevant?

Because we were asked multiple times by different users for messages that start with message id and not time.

Perhaps we'll chat soon. I do not understand the sentence as written.

I can try. The requests were complaining that the message in Syslog looks like
<2025-01-01 12:58:25> ZWEAM001I
instead of
ZWEAM001I

I don't think we should be issuing messages to SYSLOG without a message ID prefix in any scenario. Were these messages indeed coming to SYSLOG or in the SYSPRINT DD of the running API ML STC?
