Description

This setup is typically used in combination with Workload Automation tools to manage the lifecycle of Zowe.

How is this used with Workload Automation tools?

The reason for this article was users asking us to provide a WTO message when Zowe starts to integrate with solutions to automate the workload management.

The specifics were never mentioned, I expect that there are various solutions that allows the user to manage the workload on the platform, observe and potentially restart based on the WTO message.

Workload Automation

I interpret this like a CA7 or ESP solution (batch workload management). However, I think what was intended was for some automation via a tool like OPS/MVS to manage system automation. Is that correct?

Yes it is. OPS/MVS would be one such solution.

Do you know the general name for this software category on z/OS?

Event Management & Operation Automation solutions are two examples I see for OPS/MVS & SOLVE:Operations

From those I would use the Operation Automation solutions, the event management at least for me is linked to other topics.
