Double first scintillator layer (February '25)

  • only for hybrid of First thin, thick and double thick geometry
  • added a single scintillator layer (V) in front of the first thin scintillator layer
  • position in z: 11134 mm
  • number of thin scintillator layers: 51
  • the rest stays the same

First thin, thick and double thick geometry (created in November '24)

Steel

Dimensions

x: 1.850 m, y: 4.7 m, z: 0.015 m (thin), 0.040 m (thick), 0.080 m (double thick)

Positions

  • 4 steel plates per layer with 2 cm gaps in between. Total dimension of layer in x: 7.46 m
  • 50 mm gaps in between steel plates
  • First steel layer (middle point) at z: 11217.5 mm
  • First thick steel layer (middle point) at z: 14480 mm, first double thick steel layer (middle point) at z: 17560 mm
  • 50 thin layers, 34 thick layers, 8 double thick layers

Scintillator

Dimensions

  • Stereo

    • Bar: x: 36 mm, y: 3.3 m, z: 17 mm
    • Module (32 bars): x: 36 mm * 32, y: 3.3 m, z: 17 mm
  • Horizontal(X)

    • Bar: x: 3.5 m, y: 36 mm, z: 17 mm
    • Module (32 bars): x: 3.5 m, y: 36 mm * 32, z: 17 mm

Positions

  • Stereo

    • 6 modules next to each other per layer with 14 mm gap in between each, each module tilted by 3°, alternating by layer
  • Horizontal(X)

    • 6 modules per layer, two stacks of three, 1 mm gap in between the two stacks and 14 mm gap in between the vertically stacked modules
  • First layer at z: 11185 mm (before the first thin steel layer)

  • First before thick layer at z: 14435 mm, first before double thick layer at z: 17495 mm

  • Last layer at z: 18535 mm after last double thick steel layer
