I think it would be much cleaner if we could use the transformers and validators for the backend cli tools as well. Also, I haven't been able to port the
process-segments.tsscript to the CLI application yet because it depends on theContactTransformer. Therefore, the goal of this PR is to move this (and its dependencies) into the core module.
