What is this PR
Why is this PR needed?
Currently, changing between registering 2D and 3D images required changing the code base and parameter files. This PR improves this process and adds some memory optimised registration parameters.
What does this PR do?
How has this PR been tested?
Previous tests have been updated to account for API changes.
WIP
Regression tests currently pass locally but not on CI
Add tests for a small 3D images
