Thanks for this request. We plan to move subscriptions out of Commerce in the future so wont be introducing new functionality at this time. We recommend the Stripe plugin https://plugins.craftcms.com/stripe for subscriptions going forward. Thanks. |

The use case is allowing a user to create a trial subscription without having to enter payment information.
