Building on top of #120 (which includes fixes for issue #105 ) , this PR fixes an issue that I've seen come up under certain multi-module build configurations in that occasionally the artifact renamer logic is applied more than once. This fix includes @glimmerveen 's changes as well as a check to ensure the artifact rename does not reapply if the suffix already matches.
