I'll be attending PyCon Estonia on 2-3 October, so will be unavailable for release on Wednesday 2025-10-01, so let's move it to Tuesday 2025-10-07.

This is similar to 3.13.0 final, which went out on 2024-10-07.

As it happens, 3.13.6 is also planned for Tuesday 2025-10-07.

cc:

Would this cause significant problems for you? Alternatively, we may be able to move it to the end of September.

Currently still working on making 3.13 the default ... Oct 07 won't be the end of the world, but I would prefer an end of September date for Debian and Ubuntu. Also you might have a much more enjoyable PyCon Estonia ;)

Not if the date is met. But it usually is not anyway. We plan the final freeze for Fedora Linux 43 on 2025-10-07. We can usually get an update from rcX to final after the freeze. I anticipate we would be able to do that smoothly if the release happens no later than 2025-10-21.
